The 8th World Meeting of Families took place in Philadelphia (USA) from 22 to 27 September 2015. The Vatican is celebrating the event by issuing a commemorative 2 euro coin. The obverse of this coin, the work of artist Chiara Principe, depicts two families from different ethnic groups embracing the globe, symbolising the universality of the papal and Christian message.

Edge: striated and inscribed with a 2 followed by two stars, all repeated six times, alternating right and wrong sides.
