Honoré V of Monaco was a member of the princely family of Monaco. Born Honoré Gabriel Grimaldi on May 13, 1778, he was the son of Prince Honoré IV of Monaco and his wife, Louise d'Aumont. Honoré V ascended to the throne of Monaco in 1819 following his father's death.
His reign was marked by several significant events for the Principality of Monaco. He sought to modernize the country, enacting administrative reforms, and encouraging economic development. During his reign, Monaco experienced growth in the construction and trade sectors.
Honoré V of Monaco passed away on October 2, 1841, and was succeeded by his son, Florestan I.
