These objects are Canoe coins minted by the Luang Prabang kingdom. Its precursor was the Lan Xang kingdom, which unified the whole of Laos. Luang Prabang arose from its division by King Kitsarat, who took power over the kingdom of Vientiane in the south. It remained under French protectorate until 1828.
The bronze canoes with raised ends are dated between 1707 and 1780.
