Wakeno Kiyomaro, also known as Ki no Kiyomaro, was a prominent historical figure in 8th-century Japan. He was a nobleman and renowned poet during the Heian period. Born in 718, Kiyomaro belonged to the noble Ki family and showed a talent for poetry from an early age. He is recognized as one of the Thirty-Six Immortal Poets of the Heian period.
