Gjallarhorn is the name of the mythical horn of Heimdall, guardian of Asgard and protector of the Bifrost Bridge, which links the world of the gods with Midgard, the realm of humans. Heimdall, who possesses exceptionally fine hearing and sight, ensures that no threat can enter Asgard. During Ragnarök, the final battle between the gods and the giants, it is the sound of the Gjallarhorn that alerts the gods to impending doom. The powerful sound of the horn, which is lost in the sky, will echo throughout the nine worlds, signalling the inevitable end of time.

The horn is decorated with a selection of stories linked to Ragnarök, the epic of the end of the world. The obverse depicts the arrow that killed Baldur, as well as the boat that Loki took to Yggdrasil to engage in the final battle with the gods. The images also depict brave warriors sent by Odin, fighting against a monster that symbolises chaos and destruction.

The reverse of the horn shows Sköll and Hati devouring the Sun and Moon, as well as the dramatic battle between Odin and Fenrir, which ends with the tragic death of the god. It also shows Thor's hammer, Mjölnir, wrapped in the body of the serpent Jormungand, symbolising the fact that the triumph of good over evil comes at a heavy price.

Designed by Mateusz Fr?ckowiak, 5,000 copies of the coin will be minted. Its authenticity is confirmed by the included certificate of authenticity.
