Germania, the heroine of Germania Mint's flagship series, continues her journey to 2023 and begins an adventure on the continent. The unexplored land is filled not only with lush vegetation, but also with mysterious signs - magical runes carved into the rock, bearing prophecies..... What do they mean and where do they come from? It's a question we'll all soon know the answer to.
As in previous years, the obverse of the Germania 2023 expands with each coin in the collection - 1, 2, 10 ounces and 1 kg. However, this year's issue features another innovation - the obverse also changes the image of the heroine who, crossing the unknown land, ends up plunging her Reichsschwert imperial sword into the ground.
The reverse of the Germania 2023 features the traditional image of the Germania Mint coat of arms, with a double-headed eagle holding lightning bolts and surrounded by olive branches. The eagle comes from Germanic mythology, associated with Janus - the god of all beginnings, guardian of gates and bridges, and patron saint of alliances. The eagle heads, pointing in opposite directions, symbolise the past and the future.
Each piece is presented in a lenticular capsule that allows a closer look at its design. The included certificate of authenticity contains all the necessary information and guarantees the originality of the piece. The set comes with secure, elegant packaging that forms an integral part of the collector's box.
