The Saar loop, emblematic of the Saar, illustrates the first German commemorative ?2 coin of 2025.  Just upstream of Mettlach in Germany, the Saar River forms a meandering loop that the Germans call the Saarschleife. Particularly popular with tourists, this loop is fully visible from the Cloef lookout.
