In its fourth issue, the 2022 Germania coin arrives on land after a long sea voyage. On the obverse is the personification of Germania dressed in armour and a dress buffeted by the sea breeze. She walks confidently across the continent. In her hand she holds the imperial shield and sword Reichsschwert. As the bullion increases in size, from 1 ounce to 1 kilogram, via 2 and 10 ounces, the decoration becomes wider, giving the impression that it is moving away from the overall picture.

The reverse of the 2022 bullion coin remains unchanged, featuring the Germania Mint coat of arms with a double-headed eagle holding lightning bolts surrounded by olive branches. The eagle is a symbol of Germanic mythology associated with Janus - the god of all origins the guardian of gates and bridges the patron saint of alliances. The eagle heads facing away from each other symbolise the past and the future.

 

In silver 999 9 ‰ five denominations are offered. The 1 ounce version is minted in 25,000 copies with a weight of 31 15 g. For a diameter of 38 61 mm. That of 2 ounces has a diameter of 2,500 coins with a diameter of 50 mm. The 10-ounce version was minted in 1,000 pieces with a diameter of 70 mm and only 100 pieces of the one-kilogram version with a diameter of 100 mm. A fifth denomination in the BE (Belle Epreuve) version rounds off this superb collection, which is not to be missed!
