This boxed set contains the six 10, 20 and 50 centime coins dated 2023 and 2024, minted in Belle Epreuve (BE) quality. Historically dedicated to the figure of the sower, the three 2024 coins honour three exceptional women, Marie Curie, Joséphine Baker and Simone Veil, who made a major contribution to the elevation of France and its international reputation. The timeless figure of the sower imagined by the engraver Oscar Roty still appears on the three denominations, as a nod to the euro designs that have accompanied us for more than 20 years.
Only 2024 of these notes will be minted, and the new designs will be put into circulation in January 2024. The juxtaposition of the denominations allows us to observe the evolution of the national sides, designed more than 20 years apart by Joaquin Jiménez, Engraver General of the Monnaie de Paris.
