After the launch of the first collection celebrating the release of the new album Asterix and the Griffin in 2021 we find the most famous of the Gauls in 2022 for the second wave of the collection.

The face of this coin depicts one of the iconic scenes from the Asterix albums. Here we see Asterix's warrior temperament, always determined to defend his village. The Romans pay the price. The year 2022 appears at the bottom centre.

The reverse of the coin features the iconic trio from the comic strip. Here, Asterix and Obelix each carry one of the numbers that make up the face value of the coin, highlighting the boundless energy of the two Gauls. Dogmatix, the faithful companion of our favourite characters, accompanies the two best friends. RF" is also inscribed on the reverse.
