The Eurovision Song Contest is an annual competition created by Marcel Bezençon, director of the Swiss television company, on the model of the San Remo Festival. It was held for the first time on 24 May 1956 in Lugano.

Finland's euro coins have three different designs: the Finnish heraldic lion on the 1 to 50 cent coins, the flight of two swans on the 1 euro coins and the berry and flowers of the lakka (or cloudberry) on the 2 euro coins.
