Edge: striated and inscribed "Suomi Finland" followed by three lions.

To mark the centenary of Finland's independence, the Suomen Rahapaja (mint of Finland) is issuing a whole range of coins. One of these is the 2 euro Finnish commemorative coin dedicated to nature, depicting the full moon on the island of Harmaja and a crow looking out over the world from its branch. The design is based on the winning photograph in the special category of the Finnish photograph of the year competition.
