   The 2024 Cypriot 2-euro commemorative coin was issued to mark the 20th anniversary of Cyprus's accession to the EU. The face features, in the centre, the 12 stars of the European flag, the stylised silhouette of the European Commission building in Brussels, the globe with the important geostrategic position of Cyprus, symbolised by the outline of the Mediterranean island, in which the name of the country is represented in Greek (?KY?PO??) and Turkish (?KIBRIS?). Along the edge of the image, from bottom left to bottom right, you can see the occasion of the broadcast ?20 ?????? A?Ο TH? ENTA?H ??? ΚΥ?ΡΟΥ ΣΤΗ? ΕΥΡ??ΑΪΚΗ Ε??ΣΗ? and, at the bottom, the years ?2004 - 2024?. The twelve stars of the European flag are depicted on the outer ring of the coin. The coin, designed by engraver Georgios Stamatopoulos, has been produced in a mintage of 7,000.
